meaningful price comparison, we recorded the best available daily rates (based on a weekly stay) for studio suites at all hotels for the same time
period - a stay from January 4 to January 11, 2016. The studios in our rate survey all are one-room suites with fully-equipped kitchens, including (at a
minimum) a refrigerator, sink, microwave and stovetop.

Comparing the 2016 rate survey with the survey conducted in 2015, we see a wide disparity between average price changes across chains, ranging from a
decrease of 2.6% at Crossland to an increase of 4.1% at Homewood Suites.

It is also worth noting that the expansion of the extended stay segment is picking up speed. Among our
surveyed chains, the supply of hotels grew by 5.4% in 2015 (compared to 3.8% growth in 2014, and 3.3% in 2013).
