Hawthorn Suites - Longmont (northeast suburb of
Boulder), was found on
Biz-stay.com's Boulder Area Suite Hotels page. It was reviewed in
July 2006. Our 2-bedroom/2-bath suite with full kitchen and fireplace was booked online at a nightly rate of $149 (weekend). Hawthorn Suites - Longmont
met expectations for an upscale extended stay hotel chain.
- Decor: Room was nicely decorated with typical hotel decor. The hotel layout is like an apartment complex. Rating of 4 (on scale of 1 to 5).
- Lighting: Lots of lights, but they were all fairly dim. Rating of 3.
- Comfort: Very roomy suite, with large bathrooms. Beds were firm,
and not as high quality as others, but still reasonably comfortable. Rating of 4.
- Upkeep: Rooms were very clean and grounds were nicely landscaped.
Rating of 5.
- Service: Check-in & out went smoothly. But staff did not interact much with guests. For example, we were not informed of the
amenities or food service available. Rating of 3.
- Breakfast: Not a very large selection, but items were kept stocked and the eating area was spacious. Rating of 4.
- Other: Overall a nice hotel, but no one really went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. The suite was actually two rooms.
The largest was like a studio suite, with kitchen, living area, king size bed and large bathroom. The adjoining bedroom had 2 double beds and another large
bathroom.
