In October 2014, Biz-stay.com researchers conducted an extensive survey comparing the lowest available weekly discount rates the following January 2015 at eight leading extended stay hotel chains. The chains ranged from budget to upscale. For extended stay chain abbreviations used in the OH rate matrix below, please refer to the following key:

CL = Crossland
EA = Extended Stay America
CW = Candlewood Suites (InterContinental)
TP = TownePlace Suites by Marriott
H2 = Home2 Suites by Hilton
SB = Staybridge Suites (InterContinental)
HW = Homewood Suites by Hilton
RI = Residence Inn by Marriott
 
In all, we checked rates for 2,451 properties in 571 US market areas. In many areas, there was more than one hotel of a particular brand. When these hotels charged different rates, we provide a price range.
