The cherry blossom trees around the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C., serve as a reminder of the friendship between the United States and Japan. The nation's capital celebrates that relationship every year when the trees bloom, and this year's National Cherry Blossom Festival is set to be held from March 26 to April 10. People who want to enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossom trees may want to book a furnished rental in Washington DC
One place where festival attendees may wish to stay is the Adams Morgan Suites, located at 1715 Euclid Street. The Adams Morgan Suites has five apartments in a range of sizes available for varying amounts of time. Stephen Tucker, the owner and operator of the property, says that he sees "such a variety of travelers," adding that approximately 80 percent of his customers come to Washington on business.
The five apartments at the Adams Morgan Suites range in size from a studio to a two-bedroom, one-bathroom facility. Each apartment is equipped with a full kitchen, a washer and a dryer and features hardwood flooring. Heating and cooling control units are present in each of the apartments, allowing guests to adjust the interior temperature as they see fit. Ceilings in some of the rooms are up to 10 feet high, and the apartments are decorated with items from the Bombay Company. Living areas feature leather furniture and large oriental rugs.
The Adams Morgan Suites provides a wide range of amenities to its guests. "Everything you have at home, you have here," said Tucker. Free high-speed internet is available throughout the property, and each room has a high-definition flat panel TV equipped with surround sound, DirecTV satellite service and premium channels like HBO, Starz and Encore.
The property is situated in a neighborhood approximately two miles from the White House, and the Adams Morgan Suites says that its area is one of the most eclectic and diverse in Washington. Meridian Hill Park, a 12-acre garden designated as a National Historic Landmark, is one block away, while guests can take a five-minute walk to Rock Creek Park, a U.S. National Park.
Guests planning on using public transportation can use the Washington Metro, with the nearest station located a 15-minute walk away, or local buses, with stops approximately one block away from the property.
Apartments at the Adams Morgan Suites start from approximately $800 per week.
