Raytheon Dedicates New Facility in Herndon Virginia

1 Apr 2011

Raytheon, a leading government contractor based in Massachusetts, recently dedicated a new 45,000-square-foot office building in northern Virginia at a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell. Business travelers who will be working at the new Raytheon office - or who will be traveling to northern Virginia for any other reason - may be interested in booking an extended stay hotel in Herndon VA.

One place at which these travelers may choose to stay is the Candlewood Suites Washington-Dulles Herndon. According to Rita Cuppett, the hotel's director of sales, up to 80 percent of the guests at her facility come to the Virginia city for business reasons. One feature that draws many visitors to the property is its large guestrooms, with Cuppet noting that "the size of the suites makes a big difference if you're staying away from home for a long time."

Each room at the Candlewood Suites offers a wide range of amenities. One of the things that most sets the property apart from standard hotels is the fact that each room has a full kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, pots, pans and other crockery. Cuppett said that this helps save travelers money, as they would otherwise have to spend a great deal eating out every meal of a long trip.

Other popular features at the hotel include free internet access, free on-site laundry facilities and the fact that the facility is pet-friendly. Cuppett added that many guests also enjoy the DVD lending library, which allows visitors to watch movies from the comfort of their own room. She said, however, that her favorite feature of the hotel is the "awesome recliner" in each room, as these chairs allow people to kick back and feel at home.

Ultimately, Cuppett said that guests choose the hotel because of the value it provides its guests. "[We give them] everything they need and nothing they don't," she said, adding that this helps make guests comfortable without forcing them to pay extra for services or facilities that they wouldn't use.

In addition to its value and comfort, the Candlewood Suites Washington-Dulles Herndon is popular because of its location. The hotel is located close to Washington-Dulles International Airport as well as offices of businesses like BAE, NEC, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, HP, Cisco and Deltek.

A one-week stay in May at the Candlewood Suites Washington-Dulles Herndon starts at $120 per night.
