Travelers looking for an extended stay hotel in Omaha NE will soon have another option as the Staybridge Suites Omaha 80th & Dodge is expected to begin accepting guests on June 9.
According to Jay Hartz, the chief operating officer of hotel operator MK Hospitality, approximately 75 percent of the guests expected to stay at the new facility will be traveling to Omaha on business. Hartz added that unlike many other properties in the area, the new Staybridge Suites offers "more of an upscale" facility that will appeal to corporate travelers.
One of the top amenities at the hotel is the full kitchen available in every room, which Hartz says is "just like a home kitchen." Guests will be able to use a stovetop, refrigerator, freezer with icemaker, dishwasher, garbage disposal and more. Additionally, Hartz pointed out that each suite is equipped with flatware, real china and glass, reflecting the Staybridge Suites' commitment to its "upscale feel."
Visitors who would rather not cook all of their own food will also enjoy two other amenities offered by the hotel. The Staybridge Suites Omaha 80th and Dodge offers a "complimentary full hot breakfast every day," stated Hartz. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, guests will also be able to attend Sundowner receptions. "We prepare a complimentary hot meal with beer, wine and soft drinks," Hartz said.
Other amenities that are expected to be popular among guests include a free laundry room and a free shuttle that carries visitors to destinations in the surrounding area. Hartz added that the Staybridge Suites also has an "atypical" fitness center. While standard hotels frequently only have cardio equipment, Hartz's facility also features free weights, so "folks who want a deep workout can get it."
When asked what his favorite feature of the new hotel is, Hartz said that he knows from experience what it is like to stay long-term in one of these facilities, as he previously lived at a different MK Hospitality property in the area for six months. The biggest advantage of the Staybridge Suites, he said, is the comfortable rooms, which are "like your home after a long day of work."
A one-week stay in June at the Staybridge Suites Omaha 80th and Dodge starts at $119 per night.
