IBM to Offer Tech Services at New Columbia Missouri Facility

Leading technology company IBM recently opened a new technology services office in Columbia, Missouri, which is expected to create up to 800 new jobs within the next year and a half. Technical professionals who will be working at the new IBM facility may wish to find an extended stay hotel in Columbia to facilitate their move to the Show-Me State.

Some travelers may opt to stay at the Residence Inn Columbia, an extended stay property operated by major hotel chain Marriott. Each suite at this facility features separate areas for sleeping, working, eating and relaxing. The rooms also have full kitchens, allowing guests to cook for themselves during their stay in Missouri.

Other amenities offered by the hotel include a free hot breakfast buffet, social happy hours three nights a week and free wireless internet access.

Guests at the facility can also take advantage of its location in the eastern part of Columbia, as this gives them access to the University of Missouri, Bass Pro Shop, Shelter Gardens and Isle of Capri casino. The area also has opportunities for hiking and other outdoor activities.

A one-week stay in June at the Residence Inn Columbia starts from $124 per night.
