For Business Ventures, Viva Las Vegas

31 Mar 2010

There's an old saying that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas - but sometimes businesspeople hope the partnerships developed during stays in Las Vegas will have a long-lasting, positive impact on their businesses. Sin City is a highly popular destination for business meetings.

There are 10 major trade conferences slotted to be hosted in Vegas in April alone, according to BizTradeShows.com. Moreover, VegasMeansBusiness.com reports that when businesses host trade shows in Vegas, delegates spend significantly more time on the floor than in other cities.

Vegas could be a great spot to host a business meeting or the perfect place to meet potential clients. Plus, it might really pay off to try to get a company to catch a share of Vegas' major market value - Newsweek reports that while Vegas was hit by the recession, it still fared better than many resort destinations during the recent economic turmoil.

The city - perhaps best known for its casinos and nightlife - is better known in the business world for its convention services. Las Vegas hosts more than 19,000 meetings and conventions annually. Additionally, the city boasts more than 900 flights per day to and from more than 130 U.S. cities - so it's easy for businesspeople to get in on time and on budget.

With so much happening in Vegas, there's a good chance that a business will send some representatives there for some period of time. Whether going for a quick trade show or a longer period of time, the region's extended-stay hotels can help corporate travelers bring home the jackpot when it comes to successful business endeavors.

Even as Sin City is known for 24-hour fun, there are a number of suite hotels that can help business travelers keep their eyes on the corporate prize. For instance, the Staybridge Suites Las Vegas offers a highly professional experience. Staybridge Suites was ranked "Highest in Guest Satisfaction among Extended Stay Hotel Chains" according to the J.D. Power and Associates' 2009 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study. With all of the amenities they offer business guests, it's easy to see why.

Visitors can benefit from the Staybridge Suites Las Vegas' complimentary "Wireless Anywhere" internet access that is available through the entire hotel. The hotel also has a premier business center so corporate travelers can meet potential partners without ever leaving their interim housing.

Moreover, guests don't have to worry about getting work done in the hotel against the noise of non stop partying. Caroline Sanfillipo, public relations manager for Staybridge Suites, says that nearly 70 percent of the Staybridge Suites Las Vegas guests are business travelers.

With suites that have fully equipped kitchens, highly functional work areas and voicemail access, the hotel offers maximum adaptability to business travelers' needs so they can feel at home and in the office during their stays. Sanfillipo says many business travelers stay for approximately five nights, but a number of professionals - such as IT professionals and corporate trainers - stay even longer.

No matter how long executives are in town, business travelers who want to pack light might also benefit from the hotel's en-suite laundry facilities. Each suite has its own washer and dryer - a relatively new feature for extended-stay hotels in North America. Sanfillipo says about 80 percent of Staybridge Suites Las Vegas guests take advantage of these facilities. An additional 10 to 20 percent appreciate the dry cleaning services.

These laundry services might come in particularly handy for those business travelers who want to take advantage of the nightlife and still make it on time to that morning meeting. The hotel offers a "Business & Attraction Finder" that makes it easy to step outside of the corporate bubble and find fun stops among the city's brightly lit strip just steps away or to quickly locate the conference center they need to be at by 10 a.m. after a night on the town.

The Staybridge Suite Las Vegas is just one of many extended-stay hotels business travelers will find in sunny Vegas. With more than 148,000 rooms, there are countless Las Vegas extended-stay hotels to choose from as well as group offers that companies can take advantage of during their visits. Las Vegas business trips are hardly a gamble - success awaits.ADNFCR-3068-ID-19700880-ADNFCR
