Travelers looking for an extended stay hotel in St. Joseph, Missouri, will soon have another option thanks to the upcoming construction of a new Candlewood Suites facility, reports the St. Joseph News-Press.
According to the source, the new four-story, 81-room hotel will be built near St. Joseph's Green Acres building. Once it opens in the spring of 2012, the facility's suites will feature kitchenettes equipped with refrigerators, dishwashers and full stoves, allowing travelers to cook their own meals.
"We really look forward to coming to the community," said Scott Ehrhardt, co-owner of six Candlewood Suites in a three-state area.
Guests staying at the upcoming Candlewood Suites will be able to take advantage of several local amenities, as the hotel is situated close to several restaurants and a popular shopping center, The Shoppes at North Village. Additionally, the facility is located near Interstate 29, which runs from Kansas City north to the Canadian border.
"We are looking forward to the hotel’s groundbreaking, ribbon-cutting and success," Ted Allison, president of the St. Joseph Metro Chamber, told the source.
