Celebrate Chinese Film at the Shanghai International Film Festival

26 Apr 2011

China has one of the world's fastest-growing film industries, and travelers interested in learning more about Chinese movies can attend the 14th annual Shanghai International Film Festival, which will take place from June 11-19 of this year. People who don't want to miss a single screening at the festival may wish to book a serviced apartment in Shanghai.

These travelers can find accommodations through Aquaspace, a company headquartered in Shanghai that operates more than 200 serviced apartments throughout the city. According to Echo Xu, the company's concierge, approximately 75 percent of the people who stay at Aquaspace facilities come to Shanghai for leisure. Despite the fact that leisure travelers are in the majority, however, Xu said that business travel represents the fastest-growing sector of Aquaspace's guests, stating that many of the company's biggest clients are "multinational companies looking to lease luxury apartments for their management staff."

Each of Aquaspace's apartments is different, but they are all equipped with an array of world-class amenities, said Xu. Many guests enjoy using Illy coffee machines, as coffee is growing in popularity in Shanghai. Other in-room amenities include Bo Concept furniture, Paragon water purification systems, LiTian Century air purification, Beko appliances and cleaning from Lanyun. Travelers can also take advantage of bicycles and name-brand toiletries provided by Aquaspace.

Xu said, however, that his favorite thing about Aquaspace's apartments is the view, "be it the view of the tranquil garden, the stunning gaze of the Huangpu River or taking in all the spectacle of Shanghai's central business district." Just as the views outside are unparalleled, Xu added that Aquaspace facilities feature "beautiful [and] modern" design that draws on both Chinese and Western influences.

Many guests choose to stay in an Aquaspace apartment because the company offers "a much more economical solution with more elaborate amenities," touted Xu. In addition to its reasonable prices, Aquaspace appeals to travelers with its wide range of apartment layouts, ensuring that guests can find accommodations to fit their needs. "If I choose to stay at Aquaspace, I could expect to get easy access to transportation hubs, well-equipped facilities, lavish shopping centers and a plethora of international schools," said Xu.

The average daily rate for an Aquaspace apartment is approximately 1325RMB, although the price varies depending on the season.
