It was reviewed in August 2005. Our one-bedroom suite with one king bed and a sofa sleeper was booked online at a nightly rate of $157 (High season, AAA discount). Country Inn & Suites Rapid City exceeded expectations for a midrange suite hotel chain. Decor: The room was decorated well. Rating of 4 (on scale of 1 to 5). Lighting: Lighting was too dim. Rating of 2. Comfort: The beds were comfortable. The room had a very nice layout. There was a door separating the bedroom from the sitting area. The bathroom was roomy, with a good bathtub and shower. Rating of 5. Upkeep: The room was very clean, and there was no need to ask for extra bedding - all extras were already in the room. Rating of 5. Service: The front desk clerk was extremely nice and caring. Rating of 5. Breakfast: The hotel had a great breakfast bar with everything from warm and cold cereal, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, deviled eggs, and juice, to batter to make your own waffles. Rating of 4. Other: Overall it was a wonderful place to stay. The most memorable feature of Country Inn & Suites was the indoor pool. It had a winding slide - great fun for the kids!
