The Apartment Service is pleased to announce the publication of the third Global Serviced Apartment Industry Report. This edition is a follow up to the report published in February 2010.
Since the last report came out, the total number of serviced apartments has grown considerably. The total number of documented serviced apartments worldwide has grown by 34% and corporate housing by 58%. In total the report lists just below 670,000 serviced apartments globally.
In this 3rd report we are looking at the trends in the sector in key global markets and the effects of the global financial crisis. Also, an important question will be answered: What is in store for the future?
To gain insight in the state of the sector globally we have interviewed industry experts in key global markets, all with their own unique insight.
They all agree that competition is growing (confirmed by the growing number of identified operators), but the sector as a whole is very optimistic about the future.
The sector is maturing and the understanding of serviced apartments is growing amongst corporates and the benefits they can offer over traditional hotels. But there is also a strong agreement that still much work is to be done.
